Whisper “Yes”
"White Dove" a poem by Danna Faulds
In the shared quiet, an
invitation arises like a
white dove lifting from
a limb and taking flight.
Come and live in truth.
Take your place in the
flow of grace. Draw
aside the veil you thought
would always separate
your heart from love.
All you ever longed for is
before you in this moment
if you dare draw in a
breath and whisper "Yes."
After staying up way too late last night and reading, I woke up 22 minutes before my alarm and quietly cried out “nooo!” I immediately recognized that I don’t want to begin my day with a “no” and said “yes” to counter-act the "no."
Each word, “yes” and “no” has its own energy. Like waiting for caffeine from a morning cup of coffee ☕️ I want that “yes” energy to kick in!
My experience this morning is reminding me that I tend to get caught in a rut of "no" energy where for no apparent reason I resist life and the present moment. I’ll have to dig deeper and explore this later. (What’s going on? What do I need? Going to sleep earlier might be a practical place to start 😜)
For now, my personal reminder is to whisper, “Yes.” 🙌
(Rod) May you escape the rut of resisting life, and become aware of the vitality of the present moment simply by saying “Yes.”
